The Steinbach is a 2.6 km long right tributary of the east or Gersprenz.

Course

The Steinbach originates in the Odenwald at Reichel Home Bockenrod Forest Reichenberger slope at Forstort turnpike - this is located on the southwestern part of the slope of the Morsberg ( 516.7 m above sea level. ).

The Steinbach flows westward and reached after two kilometers to the outskirts of Bockenrod. The creek is piped in parts and occurs west of the B 38 ( in town: Siegfriedstraße ) days to einzumünden again at the entrance to block Roeder mill, directly above the bridge into the river Gersprenz.

Flood protection

In 2008, a new bridge ( culvert structure ) was to reduce the risk of flooding in the confluence area of the Gersprenz built and this section of the river secured hydraulic engineering technical.
