Stella is a French film from the year 2008.
Summary
In the Paris of 1977, eleven-year old Stella grew up in a former working-class neighborhood in a pub. Your handling is except from their previous alien mother and her lethargic father who run the pub from repeat customers and verkrachten existences the suburbs who are looking into alcohol and pubs socializing consolation. By chance, Stella comes to a bourgeois Parisian high school, which she initially showed little enthusiasm. Her only friend there is Gladys, the daughter of Argentine intellectuals. The friendship with her awakens in Stella 's love for literature and helps her get through some samples hardness on the way from childhood.
The film, the third of the French director and screenwriter Sylvie Verheyde, has autobiographical elements. The budget of the film amounted to € 3.34 million.
Awards
Stella was first presented at the 65th International Film Festival in Venice on August 29, 2008. There, Stella was indeed out of competition, but was traded as a crowd favorite and awarded both the "Premio Lina Mangiacapre " as well as the Special Prize of the " Christopher D. Smithers Foundation".
Sales and TV broadcasting
In France, the film is distributed by the Rent " Diaphana ". He was released in theaters on November 12, 2008. The international rights acquired " Films Distribution ".
The German language processing took over "aka Film & Language Transfer", Berlin.
In Germany the film on 29 September 2011 was first broadcast on ARTE television channel.
