The Stenochilidae form a family within the order of spiders.
Dissemination
The 12 species of the family Stenochilidae are from Southeast Asia ( Calopea ) to India ( Stenochilus ) spread.
System
Metronax was also used as a synonym for Stenochilus. Stenochilidae are today counted to the superfamily Palpimanoidea and no longer to the Archaeidea especially since Forster & Platnick (1984).
