Stephen Joseph Studio

The Stephen Joseph Studio, also known as German Protestant Church, Greenheys ( German Protestant Church, Greenheys ), part of the University of Manchester. The church is located in the old district of Greenheys, England, and was to be found there in Wright Street, a street that no longer exists since about 1955.

Founded as the church before 1895, probably in 1853. Directory in Manchester (Manchester Directory) is for 1858 mentioned that the pastor of the church HE Marotsky was. ( The church should not be confused with the German Church ( German Church) in the John Dalton Street, which was built by Joseph Stein valley in 1854. ) For the first time the church was taken from the University of fitting in 1949 and was first used on several before it was ultimately used by the Department of Drama.

The main entrance, the neo-Gothic building, is located on the west side. The building has a side entrance on the north side. On the east side is a rose window. The building has seven lecture rooms, with space for up to 179 students.

The building is now named after Stephen Joseph, the pioneer of the Theatre in the Round. Since the late 1970's, the Mansfield Cooper Building ( Mansfield Cooper Building ) is on the church south-west side.
