Stephen Malcolm

Stephen " Shorty" Malcolm (* February 5, 1970, † 28 January 2001) was a Jamaican football player.

He died on 28 January 2001, after the Jamaican national team had completed a friendly match against Bulgaria in Kingston, as a result of a fatal car accident. The driver of the car was his teammate Theodore Whitmore, who, however, do not seriously injured. Malcolm played as a defensive midfielder, but also as a defender. He played with the club Seba United and celebrated in 1995 his debut in the Jamaican national team. Until his death, he completed 68 missions for Jamaica, scoring three goals. He was also a player in the Football World Cup 1998 in France, the only previous World Cup appearance in Jamaica.
