Steve Lawson (musician)

Steve Lawson (born 1972 ) is a British bass player.

He began at the age of 14 years to play bass and became a sought-after studio and live musicians. Since 1999, Steve Lawson is best known as a solo bassist go. With its looping technique and the selective use of effects he manages to create a rich world of sound, always true to his motto " the bass, the whole bass and nothing but the bass ".

With his solo program he had worked as a support act for Level 42 and 21st Century Schizoid band on the road. In addition to his own performances in the U.S., the UK and in France, he is also regularly go along with the American solo bassist Michael Manring.

His label "Pillow Mountain Records " Steve Lawson has released three solo albums and two albums with other musicians.

As a journalist Steve Lawson has worked frequently among others, bassist, Guitarist Magazine, The Independent On Sunday, Third Way, bass player and Bass Guitar Magazine.

Steve Lawson lives and teaches in Southgate, North London.
