Steve Pavlina

Stephen ( "Steve" ) Michael Pavlina ( born April 14, 1971 in Santa Monica, California) is an American entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author. He runs a blog for personal development and published in 2008 the book Personal Development for Smart People ( German: personal development for smart people ). Pavlina writes about a wide range of topics. Through his lifestyle experiments (eg polyphasic sleep), the mass media were aware of him.

Career

Pavlina was in the early '90s student at the University of California, Berkeley. His performance was poor because he distracted himself with parties and a series of thefts. On 4 February 1991 Pavlina was for theft in Sacramento, California, was arrested and sentenced to 60 hours of community service. He stated that this was the impetus for him to change his life.

Pavlina then studied again at California State University, Northridge, and reached in just three semesters, two degrees - a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science. First Pavlina was founder and CEO of Dexterity Software where he worked as a programmer.
