Steven Conrad

Steven "Steve" Conrad ( born 1968 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is an American screenwriter, film producer and director.

Life and career

Born in Fort Lauderdale ( Florida), Conrad attended the St. Thomas Aquinas High School and briefly the Florida State University before moving to Northwestern University. Shortly after he had taken his degree at Northwestern, Conrad sold at the age of 19 years, his first screenplay, Walter & Frank - A pair of slanted. It was the adaptation of a short story that Conrad had written for a class task. Eleven years passed before he took his next project, Lawrence Melm in attack. He wrote the screenplay and directed. It was followed by The Weather Man, which he also produced, The Pursuit of Happyness and top job - Showdown at the supermarket, whose premiere took place at the South -by -Southwest Festival in March 2008. In 2013 he wrote the screenplay for The Amazing Life of Walter Mitty on a short story by James Thurber.

Conrad is the brother of actor Chris Conrad and currently lives in Chicago.
