Steven Gould

Steven Charles Gould ( born February 7, 1955 in Fort Huachuca, Arizona) is an American science fiction author and teacher. He has published nine novels, his most famous book was published in 1992 and Jumper was filmed in 2008 under this title. He is married to science fiction writer Laura J. Mixon and lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In his spare time he teaches and practices the martial art of Aikido.

In May 2013 he was elected as president of the Writers' Association Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.

In August 2013 he met with James Cameron an agreement for four based on the novel series Avatar sequels.
