Still Remains
Still Remains is a metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, the mixed untypical way modern hardcore with keyboard sounds. After she vanished in March 2008, it was announced the reunion in May 2011.
History
After the band was formed in 2001 from members of the former hardcore band Shades of Amber, she took in 2003 on the EP Dying With a Smile and published these in July of the same year. In August 2004, appeared the second EP If Love Was Born to Die. After that, the band signed a record deal with Roadrunner Records, where finally in May 2005 the debut album Of Love and Lunacy appeared, from which the song The Worst Is Yet to Come and White Walls were also released as singles. Beginning of 2006, Still Remains opening act for Bullet for My Valentine at the Kerrang XXV tour.
In summer 2007, the second studio album, The Serpent, 2008, they were equipped with Bullet for My Valentine appeared again on tour.
In March 2008, the band announced their dissolution in the blog on their MySpace page.
On 18 December 2010, the band confirmed rumors about their reunion. In the cast of Of Love and Lunacy album they played together with Haste the Day on their farewell show.
7 May 2011 Still Remains announced their official reunion.
On 1 January 2012, the band released their new song Reading Lips on her official Facebook page. The recordings for the announced 2013 third studio album Ceasing To Breathe financed by crowdfunding.
Style
Still Remains are known to incorporate keyboards in modern American Metal to bring a " Euro - metal sound " in their music. Similarities to the Swedish Melodic Death Metal (New Wave of Swedish Death Metal ) are also still available through growls and breakdowns. The band has to mark the 25th anniversary of the magazine Kerrang! the song Head Like a Hole Nine Inch Nails for the sampler High Voltage: A Brief History of Rock gecovert. Many fans join the band with the spread in America Christian Metalcore, because some of the songs deal with Christian themes.
