Stjepko Gut

Stjepko Good ( Steve Good, * December 15, 1950 in Ruma ) is a Serbian jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player.

Good studied at the Music School " Josip Slavenski " in Belgrade, at the Jazz Academy in Bern and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He played in the orchestra of Radio Novi Sad, was a member of Woody Herman's band, the RTB Big Band and 1980-81 by Lionel Hampton All Stars.

Since 1983 he leads the MHS Big Band, which was awarded at the Jazz Festival in Vienna in 1993 as the best big band in Austria. In 1988, he played in the SFB Big Band Berlin, after which he taught at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz ensemble and big band and became head of the RTS Big Band. As a sideman he worked, inter alia, with Clark Terry, Curtis Fuller, Mel Lewis and Horace Parlan.
