Stoißer Ache

The Stoißer Ache is a 16.8 km long left tributary of the Saalachstrasse in the district of Berchtesgaden. It rises on the northeast slopes of Stoißberges below the Stoißer Alm and flows in the immediate vicinity of the highway bridge of the A 8 motorway at Piding in the Saalachstrasse. The waters designated by the water authority from the source to the mouth officially Stoißer Ache, but sometimes the term Pidinger Ache is also the last section of Piding to the mouth used.
