Stojcino

Stojcino ( German Stohentin, Kashubian Stojcëno ) is a village in the municipality Smołdzino in powiat Słupski ( Stolp ) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Stojcino located in Pomerania, about 21 kilometers northeast of the city of Slupsk ( Stolp ) and five kilometers south-southeast of the church village Smołdzino ( Schmolsin ).

History

Stohentin (formerly Stojentin ) belonged to the so-called royal villages. As such, it was initially under the Office Stolp and later Schmolsin. It was applied in the form of a small green village. Around 1784, there were 18 Stohentin farmers, among whom was also the mayor, three Kossäten, among whom was the blacksmith, a schoolmaster and a total of 22 households..

In 1925 were in Stohentin 75 residential buildings. In 1939 lived in Stohentin 376 inhabitants in 94 households, and the municipality had a total of 68 farms.

Before 1945 Stohentin belonged to the district of Schmolsin district Stolp, administrative region of Pomerania, Pomerania. The municipal area was 711 hectares. In the community Stohentin there were a total of three Locations:

  • Stohentin
  • Stohentiner degradation
  • Woggonshöh

Towards the end of World War II occupied on March 9, 1945, the Red Army the village. Then came Poland and took over the farms. Stohentin was renamed Stojcino. The German villagers have been displaced in the subsequent period.

164 and 139 Come from Stohentin in the GDR villagers were later identified in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The village is now initially powiat Słupski the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Slupsk voivodship ) become. Here now live about 120 inhabitants.

Church

The population in 1945 was mainly Protestant Stohentin present. In 1925 Stohentin had six residents Catholic denomination. Stohentin belonged to the parish of Great Guard, and thus to the church Stolp -Altstadt.

School

Stohentin had a three-level primary school. In 1932, two teachers here taught in three classes 68 school children.
