Stollé synthesis

The Stolle synthesis is a named after the chemist R. Stolle method for chemical synthesis of indole derivatives. Aryl amines to be reacted with α - halogenated carboxylic acid chloride or oxalyl chloride. The resulting α - halogenated aryl amide is cyclized by reaction with aluminum trichloride, reaction corresponds to an intramolecular variant of the Friedel -Crafts alkylation and Friedel -Crafts acylation.
