Stondon Massey
Stondon Massey is a village in south Essex, England. It is located north of Brentwood between Blackmore and Doddinghurst.
History
Stondon Place, originally a farmhouse, was from 1593 to 1623 the home of William Byrd.
The largest part of the village is just over a mile south of the church, it is believed that this is the case due to the plague in 1350.
