Stony Hill is a small town in southeastern Jamaica. The city is located in the County of Surrey in the Parish of Saint Andrew. In 2010 Stony Hill had a population of 8,361 people

Geography

Stoney Hill adjacent to Kingston, the capital of the island. It is located between the two villages Golden Spring, north of the city and Constant Spring which is located in the south between the place and Kingston. Along with other places they form the largest metropolitan area of Jamaica.

East of Stony Hill, the Blue Mountains extend. The altitude of the place varies between 300 and 500 meters above sea level.

Business and Administration

In Stony Hill is the St. Andrew Juvenile Remand Centre of the Department of Correctional Services (DCS ) an administrative unit of the Ministry of National Security ( MNS ) of Jamaica.

East of the city lies the Hermitage Dam, which was completed in 1900.
