The Story Bridge is a bridge in Brisbane, capital of Queensland, which has decisively influenced the cityscape with its silhouette. The Story Bridge is by the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the most famous bridge in Australia.

History

In the 1920s, a long time already took existing plans to build new bridges in Brisbane shape. At that time, the Victoria Bridge, a predecessor of today's bridge with the same name, the only way to cross the Brisbane River. 1926 Kangaroo Point was established as the site of a newly constructed bridge. The Queensland government commissioned John Bradfield, who was then busy with the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before finishing just this, with the construction of the newly built bridge in Brisbane.
