The Strážovské hills are a core Mountains in western Slovakia.

The highest mountain is the Strážov with 1213 m nm, the most visited by tourists but the Vápeč with 956 m nm, which provides visitors with interesting photo opportunities of limestone and dolomite rock formations.

A part of the mountain is part of the Hills since 1989 almost 31,000 acres of protected landscape Strážovské. The majority of the area is covered by mixed forests.

The largest settlements of the area are Trenčianske Teplice, and the waters of Bojnice, Dubnica nad Váhom Rajecké Teplice, Ilava and the famous historical and folk architecture community Čičmany.
