Strike Anywhere

Strike Anywhere is an American political melodic hardcore band that was founded in Richmond, Virginia in 1999.

Band History

The band consists of Thomas Barnett (vocals), Matt Smith (guitar), Matt Sherwood (guitar), Garth Petrie (bass) and Erik Kane (drums). The band name is derived from the so-called Everywhere matches ( strike anywhere matches), thus the willingness or the ability to strike anywhere and thus trigger the revolution, to be expressed.

As a symbol, the band used the anti-fascist circle, a circle, show in the middle of three arrows diagonally downwards. This symbol was known by the iron front.

The published on 5 September 2006 album Dead FM is not like the previous albums on the label Jade Tree, but on the label Fat Wreck Chords was published, in which bands like Anti-Flag, Rise Against and Sick Of It All already albums published.

In an interview the band for October 6, 2009 announced their new album under the name Iron Front (based on the iron front, from which also the band logo is derived ) to.
