Strömsund

Strömsund ( South Sami: Straejmie ) is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Jämtland County and the historic county of Jämtland. It is the capital of the homonymous municipality and is located about 100 km north of Östersund on Lake Ströms Vattudal.

Traffic

In Strömsund the European Route 45 which passes to the south over Ostersund up to Gothenburg and to the north via Gällivare in Kiruna to the Finnish border crossing, the provincial roads ( länsväg ) 339, 342 and 345 in 1912 was the site following the Inland Railway.
