Structural system

Structure is in building a name for the static overall system of support members that are crucial for the stability of a structure.

The supporting structure of a building is usually from ceilings, beams, columns, walls and the foundation.

The structural analysis has two large groups of structures:

• Frameworks and trusses (beams, girders, columns, frames)
• Surface structures consisting of plates, disks, shells or membranes ( surface statics).
