Strzelniki, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Strzelniki [ stʃɛlɲik ʲ ] ( German Strzelnicken, 1930-45 Schützenau ) is a village in the municipality Orzysz in Mazury. It is 7 km east of Orzysz in powiat Piski, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Poland.

Strzelnicken was founded in 1487 as a free village by the Teutonic Order by the Magdeburg law. In 1938 it was renamed the Schützenau. Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Johannesburg in East Prussia. 1939 lived in the village of about 350 inhabitants. With the end of the Second World War, the village was part of Poland.
