Stureby metro station

Stureby is an aboveground station Stockholm subway. It is located in the homonymous district Stureby. The station is served by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system. The station is one of the more moderate frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day rise 2,000 commuters here.

The station was opened on 9 September 1951, when the section of the Gröna linjen Gullmarsplan - Stureby was put into operation. Until November 22, 1954, she was also the terminus of line T19, from then on, the trains on the newly built section to the station Högdalen. The current station was built in 1953. The station is located between the stations band Hagen and Svedmyra. The platforms are located above ground in high position. Stockholm Central Station is about 7.5 km away.
