Stuttgarter Hofbräu

The Stuttgarter Hofbrau is a brewery in Stuttgart and belongs to Radeberger group.

History

1591 Count Eitel Friedrich of Hohenzollern- Hechingen was mentioned that the monks of the monastery of St. Luzen in Hechingen could have beer because of their work in the will. 1608 gave these monks first beer at the royal court. 1872, the brewery St. Luzen and the Stuttgart brewery were combined English Garden under the name Württembergisch - Hohenzollern brewery company. This was in 1883 the official supplier of the Württemberg Royal Court, King Charles of Württemberg awarded her the title of " purveyor ". Therefore, the logo displays the coat of arms of Württemberg and today derives from this royal connection, the authorization for continued use of the prefix yard in the company name. In 1933 it was renamed the Stuttgarter Hofbrau.

1981 beer output was the first time in over a million hectoliters. In 2002, Stuttgarter Hofbrau a production his wheat beers and led four wheat beers under the name Maltese Weissbier one whose manufacturing process under license from the Bishop's brewery in Regensburg.

On 1 January 2004 took over the Radeberger Group, a division of the Oetker Group, 49 percent of the shares. Since January 1, 2010 Stuttgarter Hofbrau completely belongs to Radeberger Gruppe KG.

Beers

Stuttgarter Hofbrau brews and fills from Pilsner, export, cyclists, non-alcoholic beer and Maltese wheat beer. Seasonal beers are marketed as Spring Festival beer festival Beer and Christmas beer.

Marketing

For advertising purposes, in 1983 accounted for a Zeppelin and rented a Zeppelin NT from 1996. Since 1995 also advertise several hot air balloons and gas balloons for Stuttgarter Hofbrau.

The Braurerei is one of the three major brewery tents at the Stuttgart Beer Festival, the second largest festival in Germany. The other two brewery tents operated by Schwabenbräu and Dinkel Acker.

Election Württemberg Beer Queen

Since 2002 Stuttgarter Hofbrau organized the election of Württemberg beer queen and her two princesses. In early October, the decision falls every second year in the large marquee Stuttgarter Hofbrau on the Stuttgart Beer Festival.
