Subjectivity

Subjectivity (Latin for subjection ) is in the European philosophy that quality that distinguishes a subject from an object. As this property is necessary to clarify, is controversial in philosophy and science since the ancient times.

Derivatively subjectivity also stands for the one relationship of a subject to his environment, which is not objective. In this sense, subjectivity is usually regarded as an error source in the natural sciences and tries to avoid. In the social sciences and psychology of the cognitive value of subjective and subject- oriented qualitative research methods, however, is widely recognized.

The sociologist Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann go in her work " The social construction of reality " assumes that social reality is constructed by individuals through their subjective perception only and not objective ( independent) can exist from subjectivity.

In the field of social pedagogy subjectivity is a construct of coping concept for the restoration of agency and receipt of self-worth.
