Subtle body

As an aura or energy body of a human, a broadcast is referred to in various esoteric teachings that for mentally or otherwise terminated in accordance sensitive ( " synesthetic " ) people should be observable as a color spectrum that surrounds the body clouds or light like a wreath. According to most followers of the teachings of this energy body consists of several layers, which are closely linked to the chakras of man. Therefore very often the view that the human aura consists of seven layers, corresponding to the seven major chakras. Some layers concepts may differ because sometimes more than seven main chakras are postulated.

Scientifically, can be neither chakras or energy body to prove. The charisma adopted a light ring can not be observed with scientific methods.

It is sometimes claimed that corona discharges shown by Kirlian photography are an image of the aura. For the claim documentation is missing. It is considered even by the most supporters of the idea of an energy body as wrong.

Reiki

In Western Reiki are usually the four levels ethereal aura ( etheric body ), emotional aura ( emotional body, emotional body or astral body ), mental aura ( mental body ) and spiritual aura ( the spiritual body, causal body ) distinguished. In older Japanese Reiki will work with the three-part Dantien / Haramodell.

The physicist and healer Barbara Ann Brennan describes the aura as a system of nine bodies.

Criticism

For the concept of the energy body, no scientific proof has been furnished, it is esoteric assumptions. Neither the postulated energy nor its emission can be observed, nor an interaction of this energy are detected. The chakras are assumed undetectable.
