Südtiroler Pfadfinderschaft

The South Tyrolean Scout Association (SP ) is a German Catholic Scout Association in South Tyrol. Her work is strongly oriented towards the German Scout Association of Saint George ( DPSG ).

Self-understanding

The SP seeks the path to Christ and lives with the church. It builds on the fundamentals of Scouting on by the idea of ​​founder Robert Baden -Powell and adapts to the needs in South Tyrol. The object of the SP is the education of young people according to the objectives and methods that arise from their order. The SP works without financial gain and used exclusively and directly charitable purposes. The SP is not politically oriented.

History

The SP was founded on 25 April 1973 in light star on the Ritten as an independent Child and Youth Association.

Stage and costume

The SP works on the stage system. Children and young people are allocated according to the age and maturity of the four stages:

  • Cub Scouts: Children 8-11 years wearing a green cloth.
  • Cubs: Children from age 11 to 14 wearing a blue cloth.
  • Scout: young people 14-16 years wearing an orange cloth.
  • Rover / Wizard: Young people from the age of 16 wear a brown cloth.
  • Officers: adults who lead a group, wearing a brown cloth with yellow edge.
  • Guild: adults who take no conductor function and the thirtieth year should have reached, wearing a red kerchief with yellow edge.

The South Tyrolean Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts wear a gray shirt ride comparable to that of VCP, but with shoulder flap ( from VCP own equipment F & F ) and scarves in different colors corresponding to the stage.
