Sue W. Kelly

Sue Weisenbarger Kelly ( born September 26, 1936 in Lima, Ohio) is an American politician. Between 1995 and 2007, she represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Sue Weisenbarger, so her maiden name, visited the Lima Central High School and then in 1958 the Denison University in Granville. Later, she also graduated from the Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers. She worked in biomedical research at Boston City Hospital in Massachusetts and the New England Institute for Medical Research. At times, she also taught in their field. They also held other medical offices. Politically, she joined the Republican Party. At times, she served on the staff of Congressman Hamilton Fish.

In the congressional elections of 1994, Kelly was in the 19th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where they took Hamilton Fish's successor on January 3, 1995. After five elections she was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 2007, six legislative periods. In this time the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001, the Iraq war and the military mission in Afghanistan fell. In 2006, she was not re-elected.

Sue Kelly is married to Edward Kelly, with whom she has four grown children. The couple also has eight grandchildren.
