Sulake

The Sulake Corporation Oy is a multimedia company based in Helsinki, Finland. The most famous project of the company is the Habbo Hotel, a virtual chat world.

History

The company was founded in 2000 by the Finnish Sampo Karjalainen and Aapo Kyrölä. The first project has already been published one year before the founding. The " Mobile Disco " was supposed to promote the Finnish rap band mobiles. The concept was then an advertising agency at Elisa Oyj, a Finnish telecommunications company, was sold.

Sulake then developed a project called "Snow Wars ", which is now a part of Habbo Hotel. With the development of Sulake Habbo Hotel also reached international fame.

Of Sulake Corporation, the largest and probably most well-known project is the Habbo Hotel. This chat community are now available in 32 countries, where there are only 15 hotels, as some hotels for multiple, equal -speaking countries are used. According to Sulake over 273 million people worldwide are registered there.
