Suldalsvatnet

The lake is regulated.

Suldalsvatnet (or Suldalsvatn ) is the name of a lake in the municipality of Suldal in Norwegian Rogaland county. The lake extends from Roalkvam in the northeast to Suldalsosen in the southwest. The Suldalsvatnet has been a central thoroughfare since time immemorial. In earlier times, rowing boats were on the Suldalsvatnet go, until 1885 a steamboat was used for passenger transport. In the 1930s, the Suldalsporten ferry came on the track Nesflaten - Solheimsvik it. In connection with the expansion of Ulla- Førreverkene ( a group of hydroelectric power plants ) in the 1970s and 1980s, a highway along the lake was built and set the ferry. The Suldalsvatnet is also known as a good fishing spot and every year there is the Storaure Festival in Nesflaten.
