Sulzfluh

The Sulzfluh belongs to 2818 m above sea level. A. Height of the ten highest peaks in the Alps Rätikon, Grisons / Vorarlberg. The mountain is located right at the Austrian -Swiss border and features a main peak nor the 2812 m high western summit.

Immediately below the south wall of the Sulzfluh is the Carschinahütte the SAC.

The boundary separates the summit Gauertal in Montafon from St. Antöniental in Graubünden. His first authentic ascent was made in 1782.

Geology

A geological feature can be observed in the rise: It changes with a step from mica schist in the north across to the snow-white lime.

In addition to the well-known Sulzfluhhöhlen church Cave ( 800 m length), Sea Cave ( 1,500 m ), abyss cave and Mr. Cave ( Herrenbalme ) are the big cave systems of Upper Lake Cave and Apollo cave ( 3,080 m ) in the eastern flank of the mountain, above the deep karstic depression the pits between Sulzfluh and white plate.

Rise

The mighty and relatively holey limestone mountain with his on all sides steep rock faces is one of the most beautiful mountains of Rätikons. In the south wall between Sulzfluh main summit and the west summit several climbing routes run with a high degree of difficulty. Likewise, in the west wall and north-western wall of the neighboring little Sulzfluh ( 2,708 m).

Tilisunahütte

From the Tilisunahütte A hiking trail leads over the Sulzfluhplateau to the summit of the main summit. The ascent from the hut takes about two hours. Another moderate climb leads Partnun by the Gemstobel ( here is a short rock step ) for Ostrücken, where it meets the path from Tilisunahütte.

Lindauerhütte

The rise of the Lindauer hut in Gauertal via the Porzalengawald, west to the bank and heads over. Through the pharynx to the naked karst plateau of Sulzfluhplateaus

Likewise, the rise on a via ferrata has been possible since 2006. The entrance is above the Lindauer hut at 2,150 m and 2,260 m on the 350 meter long Gauablickhöhle is crossed.

Partnun in St. Antöniental

2005 Opened a fixed rope from the Partnun ( St.Antönien ) forth to the summit. The demanding entry into the almost vertically ascending karst is partially secured with chains. The difficulty lies in this variant at T3.

This climb is 750 m long with 450 m height difference. The inspection time for the via ferrata is approximately 2 ½ hours. To get started you need from Partnun about 1 ½ hours from Carschinahütte approximately 1 hour from the Tilisunahütte about 2 hours.

Of course it is not absolutely necessary to climb the mountain in the Vertical who it challenging, but prefer a more comfortable, which may in the long-distance path " Prättigauer trail " around the Rätikon chain along hiking.
