Summertime Dream

Summertime Dream is the twelfth album by Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot. It was published in 1976 by the U.S. music label Reprise Records.

The album marked Gordon Lightfoot commercial culmination of a period of popularity that began in 1970 with the song If You Could Read My Mind. The album's success was mainly the ballad The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald owed ​​, which is about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on the Gitche Gumee ( Lake Superior ) in November 1975. The song was two weeks at No. 2 U.S. Billboard charts his second greatest success after the million-selling Sundown.
