Sunčane Skale

Sunčane Skale is a pop music festival in Montenegro. The annually held in Herceg Novi in 1994 festival has significance for the music market of the entire Western Balkans. ProMonte is for ten years, the sponsor of the festival.

The Festival

The festival is spread over three evenings. On the first evening Prinčeve nagrade (, prince prices ') will be awarded. Award-winning artists are and other professionals in the music industry who have rendered special services in specific categories. On the second evening of the official competition begins with the young performers, which is named Nove Zvijezde (' New Stars' ). The winner must compete on the third evening with the already renowned performers to the victory at the Pjesma ljeta ( Song of Summer ). The first three places will receive a Sirena Statue and a cash prize, which is varied depending on the rank occupied. The first rank is often linked to a promotional contract.

The festival is often criticized by music critics as the performers present their songs in full playback and not sing live like the competing Festival Pjesma Mediterana in Budva.
