Sunset FC

The Sunset Football Club is a football club in the Cayman Islands from the capital Georgetown. The men's team plays in the National Football League 1. The team now has won no significant title to.

League history

In the 2000/2001 season they tried to reach the playoffs, but this goal is missed close, because a point would have been missing for the collection in the playoff round because the goal difference of Future FC was worse than the Sunsets. What failed in the previous year could be turned into reality in 2003. We managed a four point lead at No. 1 even though they'd played a game less than the then second-placed Georgetown SC. As a first zone B the association succeeded in the first playoff game also equal to a victory against the group runners- zone A, against Western Union FC. But the joy lasted only about a week, because in the second leg Western Union managed a tight 1-0 victory against Sunset, but qualify Sunset did anyway. On April 13, 2003, it was up against the Scholars International, but you lost the final 3-1 and was thus able to get a title again.

As the last season ended so followed a mixed next season 2003/2004. Man cut as the second team from last (4th place out of 5 teams) with only 15 points from 14 games. This poor record also led to 2004/2005 continues as we again took only 7 points from 6 games. And as only could qualify the first two teams took a fifth place not much. Also 2005/2006 could reach a better result with a 5th place 18 games and 23 points. Making a modest "success" could be 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 again show as they finished fourth in two seasons. 2008/2009 it's back something uphill with 3rd place after 15 match days.
