Survival (Muse song)

Survival is a song by English alternative rock band Muse and the official song of the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. It is also the first single from her sixth studio album The 2nd Law.

History

The song was presented on 27 June 2012 at the BBC Radio 1. 2011 Matthew Bellamy had been requested for the composition. He felt honored by this and said, " It's a huge honor to have the track chosen as seeking a major part of the London 2012 Olympic Games. " The song was played in both the medal ceremonies, as well as at the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

A large chorus of men and women singing a different part for the background of soundscape in the recordings.

Success

The song reached number 25 on the British charts and number 96 in Germany.
