Susan Blakely

Susan Blakely ( born September 7, 1948 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse ) is an American actress.

Life

Blakely is the daughter of an officer of the United States Army, who was stationed in Germany. In the early 1970s, she worked as a model. As an actress she made her debut with a greater role in the fantasy comedy Unterwilden from the year 1972. In the disaster movie The Towering Inferno (1974 ) Blakely played alongside Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Richard Chamberlain.

For her role in the miniseries rich and poor (1976 ) won Blakely in 1977, the Golden Globe Award, as well as it was in 1976 nominated for an Emmy Award. For her performance in the subsequent mini-series Rich Man, Poor II it was 1977 again nominated for an Emmy Award. In the TV drama The Bunker (1981 ), in which she appeared on the side of Adolf Hitler playing Anthony Hopkins, she took over the role of Eva Braun. For her starring role of Frances Farmer in the biopic Will There Really Be a Morning? (1983 ) she was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1984.

In the action film Over the Top (1987 ) Blakely played the role of Christina Cutler - Hawk, the ex- wife of Lincoln Hawk ( Sylvester Stallone ) and daughter of Jason Cutler (Robert Loggia ). In the award-winning two awards independent film comedy Hungry Hearts (2002), she took a starring role.

In the 5.Staffel the U.S. sitcom Two and a Half Men embodies the writer Angie. You and Charlie Harper ( Charlie Sheen ), one of the main characters of the show, in episodes 5.18 and 5.19 have a brief affair with each other.

Blakely is married to the film producer Steve Jaffe since 1982.
