Rich and poor is an American miniseries in two seasons of the years 1976/77, which was shown very successfully in the 1970s in the German eve television program. It is based on the novel All the wealth of this world (Original Title: Rich Man, Poor Man ) by Irwin Shaw from the year 1969.
Action
The series tells the story of two brothers, Rudy and Tom Jordache 1945-1965. My father was German immigrated to the First World War in the United States and now operates in a small town in New Jersey bakery. The older son Rudy Jordache rises from these simple ratios from law students on a senator in the U.S. Senate. The younger brother Tom Jordache is the black sheep of the family and is driven by an arson in exile. He rises to the Boxer, however, is frequently involved in criminal activity. Among other things, it can be one with the refined gangster Arthur Falconetti, who eventually murdered him and later Rudy seeks after life.
