Susana Higuchi

Susana Shizuko Higuchi Miyagawa ( born April 26, 1950 in Peru) is a Peruvian politician and engineer. She is the former wife of ex- Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori.

Life

Higuchi, daughter of Japanese parents, was born in Peru. She was married from 1974 until their divorce in 1998 with Fujimori. She was one of the first, the 1992 criminal activities regarding donations of clothes imputed her husband. In 1994, she described him as a tyrant and his government as corrupt. Fujimori withdrew her then formally the title First Lady in August 1994, leaving her eldest daughter take on this position. Higuchi founded out their own political party, the Armonía Frempol and ran for mayor in Lima. But the Supreme Electoral Council of Peru, she joined and her party coalition ( "Harmony 20th century - Frempol " ) of the Presidential and parliamentary elections in April 1995.

From 2001 to 2006 she worked as a deputy of the party Frente Independiente Moralizador (FIM ), which introduced the future President Alejandro Toledo, a member of the Peruvian Congress. From her marriage to Alberto Fujimori she has four children: Keiko, Hiro, Sashi and Kenyi ..
