Susannah Melvoin

Susannah Melvoin ( born January 26, 1964 in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer and songwriter. She is well known for their collaboration with the musician Prince.


Susannah Melvoin and her twin sister Wendy Melvoin were born on January 26, 1964 in Los Angeles. Her older brother Jonathan Melvoin died in 1996, her father Michael Melvoin was a jazz pianist.

In the 1980s Susannah Melvoin worked on various publications by Prince and was then for a time engaged to him. Since then she has worked with other well-known music stars, such as Eric Clapton, Donna Summer, Nerina Pallot, Roger Waters, BB King, among others worked together.

Melvoin is married with musician Doyle Bramhall II since 16 August 1997. The couple had on 21 April 2001, a daughter.
