The Sussex House is a chicken breed that was bred for the first time at the beginning of the 19th century in England ( Sussex ), using as basis the Cochin and Brahma served among others. It is a so-called " bred both ". That is, it is both a good and a productive fattening animal egg supplier.

Appearance

The body is box-shaped, almost square. It has a short neck and close-fitting wings. Sussex chickens are available both as a medium to large breed, as well as a dwarf form. There are two main races, the Whites and the Reds. Both have at optimum race features a basic color ( depending on the breed red or white) and a black neck and a black cock. There are the following color varieties known: silver white -columbia, columbia red -, yellow -columbia, colorful and brown Sussex. Sussex chickens are popular pets.
