Sustenhorn

The Sustenhorn is a mountain in the Urner Alps ( Switzerland ), south of the Susten Pass, at an altitude of 3'503 m above sea level. M. It is the municipalities of Göschenen in the east and in the west Gadmen. Together with the western neighboring mountain, the Gwächtenhorn ( 3,420 m above sea level. M. ), the southeastern flank forms a bowl in which the rock glacier is located.

Routes to climb

The normal route leads from the Dachstein Glacier and the Tierberglihütte the SAC to the summit.

As an alternative, apply the ascent of the Susten horn on the east ridge. Here are the starting point of the SAC Voralphütte to cope with the altitude of 1400 meters in six to seven hours.
