Suwaliyat

Šuwalijat, also Suwalijat or Suwaliyat, is a Hittite god. His Hurrian equivalent is Tašmišu.

Šuwalijat is the brother of the supreme Hittite God, the weather god tarhun. In the Hurrian - Hittite " singing to Ullikummi " seems to be Šuwalijat the wind or storm that accompanied the weather gods. He is also the vizier of tarhun. Šuwalijat also seems to be the older brother of the Weather God. Šuwalijats other brother is in the Hurrian - Hittite myth Aranzaḫ. In the Hurrian - Hittite "Song of the release " Šuwalijat visited with his brother tarhun the sun goddess of the earth in the underworld.
