SV Esternberg

The Union sports club Esternberg (SVE ) is an Upper Austrian football club based in Esternberg. Under involvement of the sponsor of the club currently bears the official name of Union Handyshop Esternberg. The club's colors are purple and white.

History

The SVE was founded on July 20, 1952. In the years 1952-1954 only friendlies and cup tournaments were contested. The entry in the regular championship of the SVE operation began in the 1955/56 season in 3rd class C 1, which finished on the 9th place in the table was.

The biggest success was winning the Upper League 1995/96 and the associated rise in the Regionalliga Mitte ( third highest league in Austria ).

Currently the club plays in the Upper Austrian Provincial League West (5th power class ).

Stadium

The home games of the SVE will be played at Heinz Stadium Ertl, which was named after the founding member and current president Heinz Ertl.

Offspring

The youth department of the SVE organized for all ages at youth level since 1991, each turn of the year the International Junior Football Indoor Cup in Bezirkssporthalle warping thing.

With now nine days of the tournament and over 200 teams participating each year, this is one of the largest youth tournaments in Austria.

Among the guests were already teams from 16 nations, including Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Denmark, England, France, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
