Sven Tumba

Sven Tumba (often Sven " Tumba " Johansson, born August 27, 1931 in Tumba as Sven Olof Gunnar Johansson, † October 1, 2011 in Danderyd ) was a Swedish ice hockey, soccer and golf players.

Career

During his playing days at Djurgårdens IF he won eight Swedish championships in hockey and football. In 1959, he was even the same in both sports champions. In addition, Johansson won three gold medals at the World Ice Hockey Championships.

In hockey he scored 354 league games 366 goals, and he also completed 265 missions in the Swedish national team. It was in 1953, 1957 and 1962 world champion, twice he took the World Championship four times and the third place. In the 1952 Olympics he won the bronze medal and 1964 silver medal. In 1997, he was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame.
