Svenska Missionskyrkans Ungdom Scout

Svenska Missionskyrkans Ungdom Scout (SMU -Scout ) is the Scout Organization of the Swedish Mission Church and Sweden's second largest Scout Association. The organization is co-educational. 2007, the entire work of the SMU was transferred to the church roof organization equmenia, but initially remained in the name of SMU -Scout. In 2012, the work to be completely absorbed in the new organization and the old name no longer apply.

SMU -Scout is the second largest with 18,000 members in the member association Svenska Scoutrådet. Currently, there are 545 local groups, who are grouped together in seven districts. The districts are based on those of the Swedish Mission Church.

The Scout program for boys began in 1931 and the Girl Scouts for 1936. Already in 1957, the concepts and activities for girls and boys were unified, but still implemented in separate -sex groups. In 1972, the groups were eventually co-educational.

In 1961, SMU -Scout applied for membership in the Svenska Scoutrådet and in 1963 added.
