Swasey (crater)

Swasey is an impact crater on the eastern edge of the moon in the east front of the plane of Smythii Mare, west of the crater Hume and southeast of Warner. The crater is very flat, since the interior was flooded with lavas of Mare.

The crater was officially named in 1976 by the IAU by the American inventor and astronomer Ambrose Swasey.
