Åšwierzno, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Świerzno ( German United Schwirsen, Rummelsburg / Pomerania ) is a place in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. It belongs to the urban and rural community Miastko ( Rummelsburg ) in Bytowski powiat ( county Buetow ).

Geographical location

Świerzno is located on a side road linking the province road 205 ( Darłowo (Rügenwalde ) - Sławno ( Schlawe ) - Bobolice ( Bublitz )) at Żydowo ( Sydow ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship to the voivodeship 206 ( Koszalin ( Koszalin ) - Polanów ( Pollnow ) - Miastko ) at Kawcze ( Kaffzig ) together. Until the former county town Miastko is 12 kilometers. The nearest train station is Kawcze (3 km ) to the PKP line 405 ( Pila ( Pila ) - Szczecinek ( Pommern ) - Miastko - Slupsk ( Stolp ) - Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) ).

Neighboring locations are: Nowy Żelibórz ( Selberg B ) to the west, Biała ( Bial ) and Świerzenko (small Schwirsen ) in the north, Kawcze ( Kaffzig ) in the east and Bobięcino ( Papenzin ) in the south.

History

Today's Świerzno was first recorded as early as the Lettows documented in 1477. 1590 at a Church Visitation 12 farmers, 4 Kossäten and 1 mill to be named, in 1717 there are only nine farmers, but 6 Kossäten. The 1825 remaining 11 Lower Houses pointed to the origin of its inhabitants. School
