Museum concept

The museum tries to involve the visitors, with also votes from those, for example, recorded, who survived the Holocaust. Visitors will also be introduced on the life and faith of the Jews and instructed therein. The Sydney Jewish Museum also shows the lives of 16 Jewish families in the early days of European settlement, who arrived with the First Fleet on the continent of Australia. Visitors are guided in a virtual journey from the beginning of settlement to the year 1840.

The main purpose of the museum is to show the history of the Holocaust. This is done in an exhibition with video presentations, newspaper clippings, pictures, narrations, letters and oral reports. There are also held tours of Olga Horak, a survivor of the Holocaust.
