Sylvan Lake (New York)

The Sylvan Lake is a lake near the hamlet of the same name in Beekman, New York in the United States. It is the deepest and second largest lake in Dutchess County. The lake is a popular destination and many holiday camps and a large campsite located on its banks.

Geography

The lake has an irregular shape and a water surface of 47 hectares. It is located on the southwestern boundary of the Town to East Fishkill. The hills on its north-eastern side rise to a height of up to 250 m, about one hundred feet above the water level of the lake and have no name.
