Tabelbala

Tabelbala ( تبلبالة, Tabalbāla DMG ) is an oasis between Bechar and Tindouf in southwestern Algeria. It consists essentially of two ksars, Ksar Ksar Sidi Zekri and Cheraïa, as well as from the village of Sidi Makhlouf and a younger town from the colonial period, which is simply called " Le Village". In Tabelbala around 8000 people live; they speak Korandje.

The place is also an important archaeological site of the early Palaeolithic tools, especially for Cleaver, ie rectangular, usually bilaterally crafted artifacts with sharp, wide edge on one end.
